dobZ187 asked: i want to use the national rail to go pitsmoor in Sheffield,
what train do i use?
how long does it take to get there?
how many stops from east london to pitsmoor?
Thanks..
There isn’t a train station at Pitsmoor. You’ll Get off at Sheffield Station, cross the road to the bus station and get the 47/48 or 97/98 to Pitsmoor
You will need to catch the tube from East London to Kings Cross/St Pancras. From there you can get a NXEC/Grand Central High Speed service to Sheffield. And then follow the intructions above. I am not local to the service so I don’t know how many stops. It would probably take about an hour and a half at a guess.
You certainly do not go to Kings Cross as one answer suggests, as neither NEXEastCoast nor Grand Central trains serve Sheffield. Rather, you need to go to St Pancras International (Kings Cross/St Pancras on the tube) and catch an East Midlands train from there to Sheffield. Journey time about 21/2 hours
Yes you go from London St Pancras Domestic to Sheffield on East Midlands Trains. services run hourly and take around 2 hours 20 minutes. If you are able to book in advance for specific trains you will obtain the lowest fares.
