London Underground – Liverpool Street Station To Covent Garden?

I will be travelling to London tomorrow and wish to travel from Liverpool Street Station to Covent Garden and back again. Please can someone tell me the cheapest way to do it (day pass/two single tickets?) and the approximate cost? Thanks very much

You may find it simpler just to take the central line to Holborn right by Covent Garden, rather the hastle of a one stop change to Covent garden tube.
If your travelling around get a 1 day travel card – yo can get this included in your ticket from wherever your coming from into Liverpool Street.

get bus number 8 from the station towards central london.get off in oxford st corner with tottenham court road…walk 10 min and you’re in C garden.bus trip should cost you 2 pounds…you could also get a map and walk…it’s not far at all plus you get to see beautiful things and building on the way.London is an amazing looking city if you get here and the weather is nice!!! Have a nice day here

A day card is around 7 or 8 pounds nowadays I think, and a single is 4 or 5 pounds. YOu are probably better off getting a day card, check on the machine in the station though. It’s been a while since I used the tube.

If you are only going from Liverpool St to Covent Garden and back, you may as well just buy a return ticket.

Buy an Oyster Card. It caps the fares you pay, and use the buses, roughly half the price of the tube. Take a bus to the Strand and walk Northward into the main market place.
The bus fares cap at approx. £3.20 per day

Buy a one day travel card (cheaper if you buy it after 9:30am) for zone 1. Best way is to get the circle line round to Embankment and walk from there – only a couple of minutes walk.

Usually a day pass works out cheaper but do double check.
