London Underground: Do Waterloo & City Line Trains Have Windscreen Wipers?
Yes they do (see pic linked to below).
Not sure why though as the line is entirely underground, depot and all. However, I imagine that the reason is because they are identical to the 1992TS used on the Central Line. As this runs for significant distances over ground there is a need for them to have wipers, so the W&C stock had them too.
Then again the tunnels do tend to leak a fair bit, which is one possible reason why the W&C Line became known as “The Drain”. Therefore, because the tunnels are unlikely to be completely dry, there is still a need for windscreen wipers to clear water even in a line running completely underground.

Does The London Underground Have Punctuality Targets?
Most train companies do – a commitment to be on time x% or the average delay etc. Does the Underground? Because I get the District line every day and I swear it must be delayed to some extent more than half of the time, if not more.
A bonus question is: Which is the worst London Underground line?!

How Many People Work On London Underground And Have Facial Piercings?
I work for said organisation and say I haven’t really noticed…uniform standards require us to be dressed smartly with tied up long hair, trimmed facial hair (inc the women) clean uniform with polished shoes and good personal hygiene. We stopped having obligatory hat wearing over a year ago. Piercings are meant to be discreet or kept to a minimum, but some staff obviously ignore these rules. Oh, and all men must wear a tie on duty, unless the temperature goes over 26 degrees or something, which is why you see a scruffier man on the gate during the summer.
We stopped wearing checked shirts because if we happened to shop in tesco’s on the way home from work other customers would ask us where the gravy was. Oh yes indeedy!
What Does It Means The Letters Er That People Who Guard The Tower Of London Have In Their Clothes?
Elizabeth Regina, Latin for Queen Elizabeth
Although the London Tower is no longer occupied by the Royal Family, the Tower officially remains a Royal Residence, and as such, maintains a permanent Guard – this is found by the unit forming the “Queen’s Guard at Buckingham Palace”. Two sentries are maintained during the hours that the Tower is open, with one stationed outside the Jewel House and one outside the Queen’s House.
ER represent the legal fiction of the Crown of Queen Elizabeth II.
