I’m Free, In London, Every Day Next Week, With Limited Cash To Spend – What Shall I Do?
I’ve just been offered a job after a protracted period of unemployment.
I’m very eager to start but can’t until all the contract and background checks have been carried out. I was hoping I could start at my new office next Monday but apparently it won’t be til the following week.
SO – I am free next week, all day, every day, with relatively small funds and no plans. I have lots of things I SHOULD be doing eg. going to the National Gallery and properly learning the paintings – but I suspect I won’t get around to doing it!
What I want is something fixed that I have to turn up to – I’m thinking a charity volunteer programme who won’t mind that I’m only volunteering to paint their walls for one week and after that won’t come back – or maybe I could do a short 5-day course in pottery or watercolour painting or knitting.
Does anyone have any ideas? Or perhaps you’d like my help? There are too many options and I don’t know where to start.
