What is the building in London beside the Houses of Parliament?

It’s to the right as you look down from the London Eye. My uncle and I disagreed about whether it was an old building or a new building, and neither of us knew what it was.

The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament or Westminster Palace, in London, England is where the two Houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (the House of Lords and the House of Commons) meet to conduct their business, close by other government buildings in Whitehall.

Are you talking about the building just to the right of the Houses of Parliament on the other side of the run up to Westminster Bridge? If so, it’s Portcullis House which was built in 1999, I’ve provided a link to a picture of it, so you can see if it is!
